Valentine’s Day: A Celebration of Love and Appreciation

Araw ng mga Puso or Valentine's Day is a special day celebrated every February 14th to show love and appreciation to our loved ones. This is not only for lovers but also for family, friends, and other people who play an important role in our lives.

Valentine's Day is rooted in the history of St. Valentine, a Roman priest who secretly married soldiers who were forbidden to marry during the Roman Empire. Because of his concern and love, he became a symbol of love and sacrifice. Over time, it has become a tradition to give gifts, flowers, and love letters on this special day.

There are different ways to express our love and appreciation:

❤️ Small gift – No need to be loved; what is important is the sincere giving.

❤️ Expressing feelings – Can be through a letter, message, or personally saying “I love you” or “Thank you.”

❤️ Spending time – The most important gift is the time we spend with our loved ones.

❤️ Small surprise – A simple dinner, a hug, or even just remembering the special day is enough to make someone happy.

Valentine's Day is not just about material things but about the true and sincere display of love. The important thing is that we show it not only every February 14, but every day of our lives.
